Positive: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lawns. We had no idea where Lushoto was but people told us to go and it was a very interesting ride on the motorcycle to get there - almost 1,000m uphill. The staff we met there were lovely and all spoke English well. The gardens are beautiful. We ate at night in the bar in front of a wood fire and we had hot water bottles for the bed - it can get chilly up there. In the morning we had bright blue sky and a lovely breakfast. Thanks.

Positive: Our stay at Lawns Hotel surpassed our expectations. The facilities are wonderful, from the pool to fireplaces lit in the evening, the staff so friendly and helpful, absolutely fantastic dinner menu. The lush, terraced garden surrounding the hotel is an extra treat.

Positive: Very clean, friendly staff, place to park my motorcycle as I was traveling with it. Decent food, all good

Positive: The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful. The hotel has that old world african vibe that a lot of tourists look for. Outside seating area is great for pre dinner drinks. The fires inside are very welcome and add to the oldy worldy club style.
Negative: The food could be improved upon. Dinner was pleasant and value for money but the breakfast was lacking in options and presentation. It is a pity as it is one of the things that can easily be improved upon especially in a small intimate hotel like lawns.
Summary: An experience that I will remember for the right reasons.
